1929 Ford Model A Pick-Up Truck
Service
Owner: Ken F., Virginia
COMMENTS: We don't normally service automobiles but this one belongs to one of our restoration customers
(1966 Honda 305 Dream CA77) and it only seemed right to keep all his vintage vehicles running. The service was performed because the cracked exhaust manifold blew hot exhaust onto the carburetor, igniting the gas in it when it backfired, and caused a fire. The fire damaged the manifold, air cleaner & carburetor. We removed and re-installed the manifold including gland rings, rebuilt the carburetor, installed a new air filter, removed & resealed the engine & oil pan, replaced the distributor cap rotor, worn points and re-set the timing, replaced the fuel valve, and rebuilt the distributor. This service took approximately 15 hours of labor.
