COMMENTS: This BSA is rarely seen in the US or UK, so it was a pleasure to have it in our shop. The owner purchased it at an estate auction in Salem, Virginia. Our customer is only the 3rd owner of this bike which is and will be kept in original, un-restored condition. The service we performed included rebuilding the Amal monoblock carburetor, cleaning the points, adding a carburetor intake boot, new fuel line kit, new oil lines, change all the 30+ year old fluids, add a new battery, clean & seal the gasoline tank which was not as bad as would be expected for not having run in 30+ years, new front & rear tires, replacement of rubber connector pieces, replace petcock plungers & corks, replace clutch hub & plates, adding a battery strap & replacing several gaskets. Getting
the bike running for the first time in so many years was very exciting.
Update May 2009: The BSA returned for an electrical upgrade. We converted the system from 6 volt to 12 volt and added a new battery, Boyer PowerBox DC voltage regulator, 12 volt bulbs, main fuse holder, and a genuine Lucas ammeter.
