1966 BSA A65 T
Service
Owner: R. M. of Washington, DC & Colonial Beach, VA
COMMENTS: This was a mechanical service with no cosmetics.  The work we performed, on a bike that was a static display for many years, was cleaning & sealing the inside of the gasoline tank, replace fuel lines, rebuild the Amal carburetors, install throttle cables, install 2 correct petcocks, new air filter & chrome housing, change the oil and upgrade to 50W oil, new oil lines, adjust valves, install Boyer Brandsen electronic ignition, install new rectifier & zener diode with custom mount, new stator, new tires, new O-ring chain, change fork oil & seals, change all fluids, install & paint missing frame hoop/fender mount, and perform a Virginia Safety Inspection.  A previous
owner attempted to rewire the bike to run without a battery but was unsuccessful.  The bike is a weekend
rider that we hope will enjoy many miles in the city or at the beach.

During this restoration, we recorded a 1-minute video to allow the bike's owner to hear it run for the first time in many years.  Enjoy!
