COMMENTS: This BSA had been with the customer for many years as a "basket case" even traveling with him to different states. The work we performed included removing the rust from the frame & re-welded a fractured tab & crack in the oil tank, paint black the frame & various parts, paint red the gasoline tank & 2 side covers, re-chrome the rear fender, replace the front fender & 2 missing front fender stays, recover the seat, seal the inside of the fiberglass gasoline tank, re-chrome chain guard, polish front & rear Borrani rims, replace front & rear spokes & re-lace wheels, install new drive chain, polish engine covers, a complete engine rebuild, install Boyer electronic ignition & new wiring harness. The bike also needed a new set of headlight ears, the speedometer & tachometer rebuilt, a new horn, replace 2 petcocks, new forks seals, replace all fluids, new amp meter, new clutch & brake levers, new headlight sealed beam assembly, new ignition coils, install tapered steering head bearings, all new cables, new oil & fuel lines, new tires, new handlebar & grips, new mirror, new ignition switch & lock with 2 keys, new complete exhaust system, new sealed maintenance free battery, re-chrome rear grab rail, new handlebar switch, new air filter element, and new Amal carburetor. We also had to locate or create several missing parts such as the aluminum front fork plate/mounting bracket that holds the gauge cups, front fork assembly, new chrome fork oil seal holders, brass front fork bushings, shocks, tachometer revolution counter drive, washers, adapter & bolts, front wheel spindle, clutch sleeve holder, torque link rod for rear brake & new speedometer drive.
