COMMENTS: This Royal Enfield was partially restored several years ago but the frame & tank were not painted nor was the bike completely reassembled. Plus it came with an undiagnosed clutch problem and major transmission leak. After replacing the clutch plates & basket and correcting the leak, we painted the frame, sent the gasoline tank out to be re-chromed which we later painted & added decals, had new faces put on speedometer & tach guages along having them rebuilt, re-tightened all the fasteners & connected all the cables, connected the electricals, added a Boyer electronic ignition, installed new Amal carburetors & new air valves, installed 2 petcocks & new fuel line, installed a 2-wire Podtronics rectifier/regulator & removed the rectifier and zener diode, added all the fluids, serviced the front forks, replaced the front & rear tires, set the ignition timing & adjust points, and various other items to get the bike running reliability. Several parts had to be obtained from the UK. This service
took over 24 labor hours to complete.
